After a great success in manufacturing of AAC/ACSR/AAAC conductors up to 61 strands, M.D. Khetan Group of Industries entered in the field of manufacture of cables in N.E. Zone. At present NECAB covers a wide range of cables such as PVC & PE insulated wires, PVC Power and Control Cables, Mining Cables, Railway signalling Cables, FRLS Cables with special Heat resisting type insulation. Special cables can also be manufactured against specific requirements of customers, to even foreign standards e.g. IEC and BS etc. Future plans include Manufacturing of XLPE cable.
The quality of the cables is maintained at high level with the introduction of latest processing techniques and testing procedures. Quality control tests are caried out at various stages of manufacturer. NECAB P.V.C. Cables are practically uneffected by moisture & can even be laid under water or vertically can be overloaded for short period, flame rerardent and immune to chemicals, abrassion & vibration proof besides their long service life.
AAC Cable are overhead power lines using several insulated phase conductors bundled tightly together, usually with a bare neutral conductor. They can improves safety and reliance of electrified wire netting.
NECAB ACSR high-capacity, high-strength stranded conductor used in overhead power lines. The outer strands are high-purity aluminium, chosen for its good conductivity, low weight, low cost, resistance to corrosion and decent mechanical stress resistance. The centre strand is steel for additional strength to help support the weight of the conductor.
AAAC conductor is a type of aluminium alloy conductor used for high voltage power transmission. AAAC conductor comes in category of overhead conductor. AAAC conductor is made out of high strength Aluminium-Magnesium-Silicon Alloy.
At NECAB testing and quality control is of great importance, right from raw materials to finished stage. Cores are thoroughly tested to ensure quality. NECAB have well equipped test Laboratory with latest equipments to carry out Electrical, Mechanical & Chemical test as required by relevant specifications.
In routine tests are carried out on each length of cable resistances is to be within specified limits besides the cores have to withstand high voltage test. Acceptance & type tests are also carried out on cables depending upon its size to ensure its conformity to relevant specification and NECAB confidence.
